IX Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Kazimierza Jagiellończyka w Toruniu (Eng.: Casimir Jagiellon Secondary School number 9 in Toruń) was established in 1992. Currently it is attended by 468 students. It is also a workplace for more than 40 teachers. Each year at least three classes of three different profiles are being opened for newcomers. First of all, a ‘health and beauty’ profile, aimed at developing beautician skills – painting nails, creating artistic make-ups, etc., as well as learning how to keep fit, eat healthily and become a paragon in health aspects. Secondly a “pedagogical-psychological’ profile, aimed at making students be able to help the disabled, both physically and mentally, improving pupils’ emotional intelligence and also leading them towards applying for psychological studies at a university. Finally, we also open a general profile for all those students who don’t know yet what they want to do in the future. It aims at helping them to choose the best career path, as well as paying attention to developing social skills and IT knowledge. Our patron, Casimir IV Jagiellon, was a notable king, who had a major impact on the development of the city, in which our school is situated. We have a noticeable experience in taking part in Erasmus+ projects. Nevertheless, we believe that iSafetyApp project is yet another opportunity to learn unique things, establish new international bonds and develop in numerous aspects.
